Jackson Style dance class

A dance class mainly dedicated to the legendary King Of Pop – Michael Jackson and his siblings, Janet Jackson & The Jackson 5. You will not only learn choreography from their music videos but be taught all of the signature moves including the most famous ‘Moonwalk’ or as we Bam Bam Boogies like to call it originally, the ‘Backslide’.

Beginners Urban Dance (6-11 yrs)

This class fuses together all specific areas of dance including: Popping/Boogaloo, Locking, Waving, Gliding/Sliding, Old, Middle & New School Hip-Hop. A fun class, that is catered for the young beginner and introduces them to the true form of where Street & Hip-Hop originated.

Commercial Street / Jazz (12+ yrs)

A perfect class for the after school dancer that wants to learn more of a commercial 'backing dancer' style. You'll be streching, kicking, leaping, spinning and dancing to the most popular tunes of the moment, as well as some funky classics! This is a general class that is suitable for all abilities. If you aspire to be a dancer for your favourite pop star, this is the class for you!

Bollywood Dancing

Taught by our very own Shrimati Susanna, this is a new class to V Dance Studio showcasing the very best in the unique style of classical Indian dance which is otherwise known as, Bollywood.

Latin Rhythms

For those who prefer the Latin beats over Ballroom this is class is for you. Latin Rhythms focuses on most Latin dances including the Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Rumba, Salsa, Paso Doble & Samba. This can be danced solo (shine) or in a partnership, however, if you come down we give you the option to dance with a fellow pupil or dance it out on your own. So just bring yourself down and get ready to shake those hips!

Popping / Boogaloo & Locking (all ages)

Popping and Boogaloo is a dance style created by Boogaloo Sam the founder of the Electric Boogaloos. Popping teaches you how to control the muscles creating hard hits through the body, whilst Boogaloo teaches you to move your body in more of a fluid and animated way.t of repetitio

Locking was created by Don Campbellock and is a dance style seen very much on the US TV sensation Soul Train. Full of funk and soul this style will take you back to one of the original styles of dance. Please note that this is a drilling class and will include a lo

n moves but partnered with some funky old school beats!

Pole dancing

One of the most popular dance classes around, not to mention a fun way to lose weight and tone up. This is run as a 6 week course and has limited spaces. You will be taught tricks and learn how to combine movement on and off the Pole. This is also a great way to build confidence and keep fit.

House & Old Skool Hip-Hop

Taught by our very own Tomoko who learnt original house moves from her gurus in Japan ‘Force Channel’ House music started in Chicago and created a new and up tempo rhythm of dance. Built up from the main elements of Jackin’ steps and Lofting, House Dance keeps the body continuously moving whilst incorporating fast footwork. V Dance Studio is the first in Chelmsford to bring this style forward, so it’s a must do class!

Breakin'

Commercially known as ‘Breakdance’ this class is designed to teach all elements of Breakin’ i.e. Rocking, Freezes and Tricks. It is therefore recommended that you recognise the fact that there are elements of gymnastics within this class.

Street / Hip-Hop (all ages)

This class fuses together all specific areas of dance including: Popping/Boogaloo, Locking, Waving, Gliding/Sliding, Old, Middle & New School Hip-Hop. A fun class, that focuses on the true form of where Street & Hip-Hop originated. A new routine is taught every week to ensure you’ll never get left behind.

Street Jam Practise Session

This is a 1 hour practice session. It allows you to go over moves, routines or just generally Jam in your own time.

Bam Bam Boogies School of Excellence

Bam Bam Boogies ‘School Of Excellence’ is a 3 hour training session designed for pupils with complete understanding of the styles of dance that the Bam Bam Boogies represent. This is an invitation only course, as it moves at a rapid pace. To be invited onto the School Of Excellence we need to see that you are able to learn at a fast pace and are confident in our main dance styles i.e. Street/Hip-Hop, Popping, Boogaloo, Locking & House.
